As per tradition, the New Year in Rimini opens with Grand Opera.

On Thursday 1 January 2026, at 5.30 p.m., the curtain will rise on the staging of Aida, the famous melodrama in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi, to a libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni.

The performance is staged by the Coro Lirico Città di Rimini Amintore Galli in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini. On the podium, conducting the Orchestra La Corelli of Ravenna, will be Maestro Jacopo Rivani, with the direction entrusted to Paolo Panizza and the choir direction to Maestro Marcello Mancini.
